Buck Rogers: Countdown to Doomsday Cheats

This glitch allows you to acquire an unlimited number of credits in a relatively short period of time.

1. Create a team with 6 characters, any race or class. Among the 6 characters retain 2 for the credits cheat, referenced here as ''Bob'' and ''Tom''.


2. Begin a game and trade everyone's credits to ''Bob''. If this is a new team he will now have 6000 credits.


3. Save the game in a slot. Exit to DOS.


4. Start Buck Rogers and load the game you just saved.


5. Remove ''Bob'' (who has all the credits) from the party. Save the game again and exit to DOS.


6. Go to the SAVE folder within the Buck Rogers program folder, wherever that might be on your computer.


7. Find the two files pertaining to the character ''Bob'' (bob.dat & bob.who). Copy and then rename those files (e.g. bob2.dat, bob2.who).


8. Start Buck Rogers and load the game you just saved. Remove ALL characters from the party except ''Tom''.


9. Choose to Add a character to the party. You should see two entries for ''Bob''. Select the topmost ''Bob''--this is the real ''Bob''--and choose to Begin adventuring.


10. Transfer all credits from ''Bob'' to ''Tom''.


11. Save the game and exit to DOS.


12. Start Buck Rogers and load the game you just saved (this party should just contain ''Bob'' and ''Tom'').


13. Select ''Bob'' and choose to Purge him.


14. Choose to Add a character to the party. You should still see a ''Bob'' in the list--this is the ''Bob'' clone. Select ''Bob'' and choose to Begin adventuring.


15. Return to step 10 and repeat as desired. When you Purge the cloned ''Bob'' he won't be purged, but in fact will remain available to be added again and again.


16. At some point in this loop you will want to make a copy of ''Tom'' and perform the same process in order to copy more credits.
